Who we are

NFG Home is the residential services brand of Northern Facilities Group Inc. ("NFG," "we," "our," "us"). This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through nfghome.ca and in the course of providing residential services.

We comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Information you give us

We collect personal information only when you choose to provide it, through:

Quote requests

Name, phone number and email address
Service address, city and postal code
The service you are asking about
Details about the property relevant to quoting, such as property type, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, window configuration or driveway size
Preferred service dates and any notes you add

Service delivery

Access instructions you provide, such as a lockbox code or key arrangement
Scheduling history and service records
Notes relevant to delivering the service, such as pets or areas to avoid

1.2 Information collected automatically

Our hosting provider records standard server logs, including IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and reliability. We keep a short-lived, in-memory record of request IP addresses to rate-limit form submissions and block automated abuse.

This website runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts of any kind. There are no third-party tags, pixels or verification files. If analytics are added later, this policy will be updated before they go live.

2. How we use your information

To prepare and send you a quote
To schedule and deliver the service you have booked
To contact you about a quote or a booking, including changes
To respond to your questions
To meet legal, insurance and accounting obligations

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or share it with third parties for their own marketing.

3. Where your enquiry goes

NFG Home enquiries are received and handled through the existing Northern Facilities Group contact infrastructure, because NFG Home is a division of the same company. Submissions are labelled as originating from NFG Home so residential enquiries are handled by the right team.

4. Who we share it with

We disclose personal information only:

To our own team members, limited to what they need to quote or perform the service
To service providers who operate our infrastructure, specifically website hosting and email delivery, under confidentiality obligations
To our insurer, where a claim or incident requires it
Where required by law, or to establish or defend a legal claim

5. Retention

Quote requests that do not become bookings are retained for up to 12 months. Service records are retained for up to 7 years to meet insurance and accounting requirements. You may ask us to delete information sooner where no legal obligation requires us to keep it.

6. Security

The website is served over HTTPS, form submissions are validated on the server, and access to service records is limited to staff who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise. We will notify affected individuals and the Privacy Commissioner where a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, as PIPEDA requires.

7. Your rights

You may, at any time:

Ask what personal information we hold about you and request a copy
Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
Withdraw consent to further contact, subject to any booked service
Ask us to delete information we are not legally required to retain

8. Children

This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date above always reflects the current version, and material changes will be highlighted on this page.
